What is a BBL?

The Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), also known as lipoinjection, is a coloquial name that the type of liposuction or liposculture where the fat extracted from the body is injected to the buttocks.

Who is the Ideal Patient?

The ideal patient for this procedure is 18 years or older, and has small amounts of fat in the body in areas that usually accumulate fat, such as: arms, belly, and back (these areas where the fat will be removed from) This patient also eats well and lives a healthy lifestyle.

How is it performed?

In order to perform the BBL surgery, a Lipo Vaser® must be performed first in order to get the fat that’s going to be transferred to the buttocks. Afterwards, the fat that has been subtracted is then processed and injected into the buttocks with the same technology.

The Brazilian Butt Lift is an outpatient surgery (also known as ambulatory surgery), which means you can go back home the same day of the procedure.

The surgery lasts around 2 hours and you must be on observation for approximately 4 hours.

Recovery Process

Recovery is around 2 weeks long, and you’ll start seeing final results between 3 and 6 months after the procedure, once your body has completely recovered. You must attend to a check-up consultation 7 days after the procedure.

In order to obtain the expected results, the use of especial garment is mandatory during the first 2 months, as well as a special seating pillow for the first 3 weeks. Lymphatic drainage massages are recommended to reduce inflammation in a faster, more precise way.
