What is Botox?
The Botox and Filler application is a non-surgical procedure made to eliminate the signs of expression generated by age such as wrinkles and sagging skin, resulting in a younger, fresher, relaxed look. This can also be a preventive treatment to avoid the generation of wrinkles.
Who is the Ideal Patient?
The ideal patient is over 28 years old and the treatment can be either preventive or corrective (to wrinkle removal).
If the patient is pregnant and/or nursing, this treatment is not recommended.
How is it applied?
The use of botulinum toxin for eliminating wrinkles is a method that has been used for years. It is applied in a single session and Dr. Martínez uses the most preferred butylin toxin by surgeons and patients: Botox® Allergan®, which offers the best quality with long-lasting results.
This toxin is applied with an extra-fine needle into the skin muscle, and most people find these injections to cause only mind, temporary discomfort.
The Botox application lasts about 30 minutes.
Recovery Process
Recovery lasts around one or two days, and you’ll start seeing final results between 3 and 4 days after the procedure, once your face has completely recovered. It’s recommended to repeat the treatment after around 7-8 months to keep the results.
