OTOPLASTY
NEW FACE NEW LIFE
What is an Otoplasty?
The Otoplasty is a cosmetic surgery made to improve the look of the patient’s face by correcting the ears’ position.
Who is the Ideal Patient?
Usually, this procedure can be performed in children around 4 and 14 years old, but basically any patient that wishes to improve their ears appearance can have an Otoplasty.
How is it performed?
This procedure consists in bringing prominent ears back and closer to the head. If needed, a size reduction can be also performed.
The Otoplasty, or Ear Job, is an outpatient surgery (also known as ambulatory surgery), which means the patient can go home the same day of the procedure.
The surgery lasts around 1 hour and the patient must be under observation for approximately 4 hours.
Recovery Process
Recovery is around 1 week long, and you’ll start seeing final results between 1 and 2 months after the procedure, once your ears have completely recovered, but you will begin to see results around the 7th day after the surgery. You must attend to a check-up consultation 7 days after the procedure.
